We have a very demanding client who has a real 'need for speed'... for your
information we have written a real-time data feed handle for a high-performance satellite
data fee for a major stock market data vendor. Our goal was to be able to handle over
25,000 symbols with up to 32 bates per symbol. Using CodeBase, we now handle better than
100,000 symbols and store up to 5,000 transactions for all of the above symbols. That makes
our feed handler just about the fastest one on the planet. Thanks to CodeBase and one heck
of a lot of work on our end.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the performance of Codebase... The Delphi
component VCL written by John Sandage provides a seamless interface with Delphi that allows
me to bypass the Codebase API. I suspect that I may be losing a little on performance
using the Components rather than the API, but the advantage is that I don't have to learn

We were very concerned about possible program failures due to the change in
Microsoft JET's xBASE connectivity. To retain
important features, our options were to buy Delphi Pro just to get the BDE license, or try
CodeBase. With CodeBase, we now have more xBASE features than we ever had, plus we also
have the fastest xBASE performance we have ever seen!
